Cyber Incident Handling Workshop by the Malta CIP Unit in Collaboration with ENISA

The “Malta Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Unit” within Cabinet Office, Office of the Prime Minister, in collaboration with ENISA, the “European Union Agency for Network and Information Security”, hosted the first CSIRTMalta-ENISA “Cyber Incident Handling” workshop on the 26th and 27th June 2014.  The workshop was held at MITA’s (Malta Information Technology Agency) state of the art Data Centre in St Venera.  
 
The workshop was coordinated by two highly experienced trainers from the EU agency ENISA.  A number of IT (Information Technology) security experts from governmental as well as private organisations involved in Critical Information Infrastructure Protection in Malta participated.   
 
The principal aim of the workshop was to inform local IT security experts on the latest cyber threats and on the handling of cyber incidents.  The workshop successfully met its objectives.  
 
It is envisaged that the Malta CIP Unit will be organising more such events in the future.​
